What's involved
We draw from positive psychology, CBT, ACT, and other evidence-based treatment approaches to create an action-oriented plan that addresses your unique needs. We focus on function. There will be homework.
Who we help
Our counselling clients are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, chronic pain, physical illnesses, adjustment disorders, and poor sleep. Many are experiencing difficulties with focus, distractibility, and memory lapses. We welcome opportunities to collaborate with physicians to coordinate treatment.
Discoveries
During treatment, many clients discover issues underlying or complicating their mental health symptoms. These can include workplace stressors, bullying, relationship strains and other concerns described in our coaching section. The goal in our work together is to treat the symptoms and the issues that make them worse or prolong them.
